Claude Code desktop adds in-app browser for docs and sites

ClaudeDevs announced on X that Claude Code on desktop now has an in-app browser, letting it pull up docs, designs or other sites and then "read, click through, and interact" with them in the same way it works with local dev servers. The account also states that the browser is "sandboxed and configurable," with a user choice over whether sessions persist.

The same post tells users to update to the latest version of the desktop app and links to the docs. The news appears to be aimed at reducing the kind of browser switching many developers already associate with coding workflows. In a quoted post, Rajat wrote that "half my day in the terminal is alt+tabbing to docs in the browser and back," adding that letting Claude read them directly would remove that annoyance.
